Questions for 9/18

1. Are the camel and the wheel technological opposites?  How does the camel cart serve to bridge the dichotomy?

2. How did the North Arabian saddle change the involvement and use of camels in the Middle East?

3. Why is it that we think of the wheel (on a cart, etc.) as more modern and a pack camel as "primitive" when in fact camels once replaced wheels/carts almost entirely?

Menhirs - 9/25

I'd like to talk about Le Cap Sizun (starting on page 66) and Ggantija (in ch. 3, page unknown).
