As part of the University's Site License, access to several of ESRI's Virtual Campus on-line courses can be provided free of charge. These on-line courses provide a way to learn the basic functionality of GIS software products for faculty, staff, and those students that cannot commit to a full semester course.

Some of the courses are workshops, which are live recordings of seminars given by ESRI instructors. Others are hands-on courses, in which you actively download spatial data sets and undertake exercises using the GIS software. Workshops can be viewed on any computer running Media Player, Quicktime or Real Player. Courses must be performed on a computer that has the software installed, such as those in the Earth Lab.

This .pdf file lists the courses and workshops that are available. To obtain instructions and free access codes, please contact Lynn_Carlson@brown.edu
