The purpose of this course is to offer a forum for informed discussion of a variety of difficult questions about access to the classical past, and its modern-day ownership and presentation, seen primarily from the perspective of material culture (archaeology, art, museum displays, etc.).

T 24 April = RISD museum visit with Dr Gina Borromeo.
Th 26 April = no class.
T 1 May = oral presentation of term papers by Naomi, Jamie.
Th 3 May = oral presentation of papers by Jonah, Aaron, Katie.
M 14 May, 2-4 pm = final exam (in our usual room at the Joukowsky Institute; you may write on a computer); written term papers due.
