Changes [Aug 30, 2007]
Curriculum VitaeI am a third-year PhD student of Classical Archaeology in the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World at Brown University.
I am primarily interested in Visigothic involvement in the "decline" of the western Roman empire, the methodology and theory associated with Late Antique and Byzantine archaeology, the correlation between sanitation and disease in Roman bath environments, arthritis and hydrotherapy in Roman Britain, the Roman diet and its effect on social structures, mortuary practices and ritual in the Late Antique Gaul, and iron deficiency, eye disease, and the Gallo-Roman.
My research areas include France, Britain, and Greece, though I am open to other areas in the Roman Empire.
I am also an amateur photographer. Take a look at some of my work.
Joukowsky Institute Collections Proctor
I am responsible for reorganizing and digitizing the Joukowsky Institute extensive coin collection! A newly created online, wiki-based catalogue is currently being populated for display in the near future.
