Egypt 1923: Brown's Egypt: Photographs from a 1923 Tour

Upon graduating from Harvard in 1922, John Nicholas Brown embarked on an extensive tour of Europe and the Mediterranean. In early 1923, Brown and his party traveled down the Nile visiting ancient sites and famous archaeological excavations in progress. This wiki forum exhibits some of the photographs from JNB's travel album and welcomes the addition of questions and commentary pertaining to these images.

The travel albums of John Nicholas Brown are in the collection of the Nightingale-Brown House, a 1791 Georgian wood-frame house in the Brown family for five generations. This building at 357 Benefit Street is now home to the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage at Brown University.
