Below is part of the excavation sequence for the Foundation wall running along the northern edge of the Old House area. It was exciting to find this feature, especially since large stones are not geologically native to this coastal landscape. At Greene Farm boulders like these were robbed from earlier structures or ruins for use in other construction projects. The extent of this foundation could not be determined in 2006, but could possibly be due to the historical removal of the larger stones.
