KAITLIN DESLATTE

Kaitlin is a third year MA graduate student in the historical archaeology program at UMass Boston. She received her undergraduate training at Northwestern State University in her home state of Louisiana. Kaitlin has been involved as an excavator and crew chief with the Greene Farm Archaeology Project since the project’s start in 2004. During 2005, archaeologists discovered a 17th-century sheet midden in the Old House area of Greene Farm. This portion of the site is the focus of Kaitlin’s master’s thesis. Using the data collected from the sheet midden, Kaitlin will conduct a ceramic and pipe analysis in order to interpret the lifeways of colonial Rhode Island.
