Week 7: Assyrian pa...In the next couple of weeks, you will be responsible to visit RISD Museum (down the hill from Brown), select an artifact or work of art that tells or relates to a story pictorially. This object could be from their ancient art collection or others. You are expected to write a short paper about the object (4-6 pages) and its story. Your paper is expected to unpack the "narrative" (pictorial story-telling) qualities of your object. Make sure to work with an object that you feel connected to and spend time around it. Making a sketch or a drawing of the object is an excellent way of engaging with it intimately, paying attention to its details, its iconography.
