Antique Lantern Slides

Uploaded Image

Several hundred lantern slides have sat patiently in the basement of Brown University's Classics Department--mostly forgotten, but occasionally stumbled upon by curious graduate students. Some are marked "Brown Univ. Art," but have long been abandoned (they were in the Classics Department since before the department moved to its current location--in the late 70s). This project aims to preserve some of these slides digitally, along with a bit of the experience of actually viewing them.
