I am currently a sixth year graduate student in the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World. I graduated from University of Pennsylvania in 2006 where I majored in Classical Archaeology and Classical Languages. I am particularly interested in Roman Republican sanctuaries, altars, ancient rituals, cults and burial practices. I am currently writing my dissertation, Material Witnesses: The Altars of Republican Rome and Latium and the Memory of Sacrifice, on the archaeological record of sacrifice at specific altars in Rome and Latium from the early to late Republic.
