Archaeology of Rhode Island Hall |Changes [Oct 07, 2009]
engravings/printsThis is a site report for the archaeology of Rhode Island Hall. The primary 'fieldwork' was carried out during the Spring semester 2008, and its aims were threefold. First, to collect all materials relevant to the history of Rhode Island Hall. Second, to document the final semester of relations with the building before its radical transformation into the new Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World. Third, to deploy archaeological practices in an altogether different field of production: by turning them onto the research institute itself.

Memories of RI Hall in 2009
This project was originally undertaken as an independent study by Elise Nuding under the direction of Christopher Witmore of the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World in Spring 2008, and has continued from there.
