During the 2006 season "The team" and all students were given formal receptions on the Fourth of July by the Mayor of Marco de Canaveses in City Hall. On another day the reception was by the Mayor in City Hall of Baião at which time Prof. Winkes was presented with one of the famous Baião walking canes. Baião would like to attract foreign archaeologists to work on the numerous dolmen in the township. Facilities for students to stay and other logistical needs are all in place.
