Jason is currently a fifth year doctoral candidate(ABD) at the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World. He is a classical archaeologist, with an interest in the Greco-Roman Mediterranean World, although his main focus is predominantly on Roman archaeology. He is currently working on his dissertation which will deal with the Roman conquest of Northern Portugal and its impact and influence on the Iron Age Castro Culture. His other areas of interest include Roman Iberia, Pompeii, the Social war, processes of Romanization, urbanization of the ancient world and Roman domestic architecture.
